Kawah Ijen | Indonesia

It has been quite awhile since my last post so here we go! Kawah Ijen is my second destiny after trekking at Mount Bromo. At first Kawah Ijen wasn’t on my bucket list, i wasn’t sure that i would be able to climb such a mountain because everybody said it was a bit tricky to trek, but since we are here so why don’t i give it a try then.          We all started trekking (actually more like climbing with a combination of hiking, trekking, running and all the other exercise skills) since approximately 1am. The journey took us around 4.5-5 hours to reach to the top of the mountain. It was a rough and tough journey, i spent hours and hours walking up the steep slope but then we finally made it to the top! I could scent the sulfur odor. It was pretty strong so I recommend you to bring the proper gas mask (or you can rent it up there, but no guarantee that it will be sufficient enough for all the trekkers). …

Mount Bromo | Indonesia

Finally my thesis is over!!! It’s been such a torturing moment (but still fun anyway) for me! So I guess I deserve a holiday! So the first trip of 2015 (See?! I haven’t been to anywhere lately since New Year!) I decided to go to Indonesia!, Thailand’s neighborhood. I’ve seen so many photos on my Facebook and Instagram feeds, Mount Bromo has become more and more popular tourist destinations for Thai people. I guess this is the perfect time to give it a go and try trekking for the first time of my life. Mount Bromo is located on East Java Island, Indonesia. With its beautiful and breathtaking landscape, no wonder why Bromo has drawn many travelers from all over the world. Before trekking at Mount Bromo, I started my journey at Penanjakan 1 mountain first to catch the first light of Bromo.
