Sydney eating guide

Paris is known for the best pâtisseries. Italy, of course, is best known for scrumptious pasta and pizza! But what about Australia? All we have known whenever we talk about this country is Kangaroo and Koala..umm.. I guess Australia has never been a first thought about food to anyone before.

Lately, Australian culinary culture has become more and more popular and innovative especially coffee culture and organic diets which become a hit around the globe. During my previous trip to Australia (Sydney and Melbourne obviously) I had a chance to try many different restaurants and cafes in both city! Here are some of the restaurants list that i’ve been to and would love to share them with you guys! (I’m such a foodie you know?)

Let’s begin with Sydney!

Here’s NOMAD – Cellar door plus restaurant and it’s queue-worthy.

To sum up this restaurant in one word – perfect. My favourite dishes are “Smoke eel croquette” and “Moroccan beef tartare” I could possibly say this is the best beef tartare i ever had

There is an open kitchen in the middle of restaurant where you can enjoy observing the chef’s cooking and chill out with your love ones.

For the famous Bondi Beach, I guess everyone will definitely go there. There is a giant swimming pool located right on the beach but not so many people notice that there is also a bar + restaurant called “Icebergs” in the same location. If you have free time during the day (but I would say it is best to come here just before sunset so you could capture the moment!)
The food here was okay but not that great. Lots of wide range of seafood for selection but i wouldn’t say the food here is a must. I prefer hanging around and may be has a glass of champagne with your besties! Cheers!

Hands up if you like PANCAKE! I heard that there is a very good pancake house nearby my hotel so I dropped by one morning to try this famous recipe. “Pancakes on the rocks” located pretty closed to The Sydney Opera House in The Rock area. I ordered “Hot n Troppo” which is buttermilk pancakes with grilled banana, walnuts, cream, chocolate ice cream and there homemade chocolate sauce. It was pretty good, although i couldn’t finish them all by myself. It is better idea if you order and share it with your friends.

ADDRESS : 4 Hickson Rd, The Rocks, Sydney

To add some sweetness in your life, you should try “AQUA S” ice cream. Actually I’m not a big fan of sea salt ice cream but this is an exception. There are few flavors for you to choose but my favorite are sea salt and caramel. You can also add some toppings too! Fairy candy floss, popcorn, toasted marshmallow (yummm) and candies! How could you resist such a cute and tasty soft serve?

ADDRESS : Shop 27, Level 10, 501 George Street, Sydney 2000

Bon Appetit!
